Creative Direction

Joshua managed various stakeholders in the creative process, from freelancers & agencies to members of the in-house leadership team.

He developed & introduced a brand new Creative Direction for the business, including a consumer focused tone of voice, art direction & digital identity.

He adopted the role of head copywriter for all consumer related brand copy: ranging from advertising collateral and commercial web copy to long form blogs and newsletters.

Content Creation

Joshua directed multiple brand video & photoshoots – both lifestyle and product focused – working with external photographers, producers and models, as well as shooting himself.

He assisted in the production of videos for Seven Miles’ Youtube channel, helping grow to over 100k subscribers.

He took over the brand’s much-read blog: writing various long form articles, interviews and features.

Digital Marketing

Joshua developed & implemented an email strategy focused on growing the Seven Miles community, educating consumers and driving online sales.

His approach was highly focused on consumer data & analytics, using insights to drive commercial growth

He launched a consumer focused brand newsletter, titled The Fix, which gained 5300+ subscribers in less than 6 months and an open rate of 38%.

His management of Seven Miles’ social media channels led to engagement doubling and followers growing by over 150%.

He implemented an advertising strategy focused on driving growth of social media channels and converting sales through the online store. 

E-Commerce

Joshua proactively pitched for the business to transfer their e-commerce store to the Shopify platform.

Once successful, he designed, built & managed the platform, resulting in 150% growth and generating $1M+ in just 12 months.

He built and launched a subscription service, winning 1000+ coffee subscribers in less than 3 months.

Miscellaneous

Joshua was awarded “New Employee of the Year” and “Customer Engagement Employee of the Year.” in his first 12 months with the business. 

He adopted a leading role in company-wide project management, including the launch of a cold brew RTD product, a range of specialty coffee pods and a new roastery in Brisbane.

Throughout his tenure, he organised multiple brand partnerships and executed various brand activations: including surf festivals, bespoke products and sponsored charity events.

Finally, he led the business’ PR strategy, working with an external agency on a campaign-by-campaign basis, handling the rest in-house himself.
